I am a Czech attorney based in Prague 1 with more than 15 years of practice, and artificial intelligence is built into every stage of my work on your matter. AI prepares the research, document review and first drafts; I do the strategy, verification and signature. You pay for fewer hours, and I am liable for the result like any other attorney.
An attorney who uses AI as a tool. The phrase “AI lawyer” often suggests a robot answering instead of a lawyer. With me it is the other way round: I am an attorney registered with the Czech Bar Association under reg. no. 16037, and artificial intelligence is my working tool. Every output you receive from me has been read, verified and signed by me.
What AI does for me and what it never does. AI goes through hundreds of pages of a case file, finds inconsistencies in a contract, compares case law and prepares the first draft of a submission. It does not decide what is best for you, it does not negotiate with the other side and it does not stand in court for you. That remains my job.
Humans think, AI does the heavy lifting.
My hourly rate is in line with standard practice in Prague. The difference is in the number of hours. Reading and sorting documents, searching case law or comparing contract versions used to take days; with AI I do it much faster.
I only bill the time I actually spent on your matter, and you receive a breakdown with the invoice.
I complete case-law and statutory research in a fraction of the time, so I can review more decisions than would otherwise be worthwhile. I read every decision I rely on in full.
You get the result quickly and in a clear structure: conclusion and recommendation first, then the reasons and sources.
Before anything goes out, I check every citation, amount, date and deadline against the source documents.
Before a hearing, I analyse from published judgments how the particular judge decides.
The process is the same for a contract, a dispute or a corporate matter. Only the documents and the output change.
You send me contracts, correspondence and decisions. AI sorts them, builds a timeline of events and lists the disputed points.
I build the assessment in steps: material facts, issues, applicable rules, their application and a tentative conclusion. AI suggests options, I decide.
I read every statutory provision in its current wording and every decision in full text. AI is a good analyst but a poor source of truth, so I never trust its citations from memory.
You receive the contract, submission or opinion in a form I have reviewed and am liable for. In a dispute, I represent you in court in person.
Using AI changes nothing about the duties I have as an attorney under the law. I follow the Czech Bar Association opinion on artificial intelligence (in Czech) of 9 September 2026: AI is a permissible tool, but the attorney is responsible for the result and must verify the output before using it.
I am liable to you for harm caused in connection with the practice of law (Section 24(1) of the Legal Profession Act), and I am insured against it by law (Section 24a(1)).
Confidentiality (Section 21(1) of the Legal Profession Act) applies to work with AI as well. I use business versions of AI tools whose contractual terms prohibit training models on customer data.
I read legislation in the official Collection of Laws and court decisions in full text from court databases. I treat AI output as a draft to verify, never as a finished answer.
You always know the price in advance. The initial assessment is free; further work is billed by the hour or at a fixed fee.
Up to 20 minutes by phone or online. Based on the documents you send, I will also email you a first indicative opinion free of charge.
Indicatively CZK 2,800 per hour for standard matters and CZK 3,700 for more complex cases, plus VAT.
For specific services, a fixed amount or a success fee can be agreed in advance.
Routine work you would otherwise pay for in hours is done by AI. What remains on the invoice is mainly time for strategy, negotiation and review.
An AI lawyer is an attorney registered with the Czech Bar Association who uses artificial intelligence in their work. It is not a chatbot giving advice instead of a lawyer. AI reads and sorts documents, searches case law and prepares first drafts for me; I assess the matter, verify the result and sign it.
The hourly rate is comparable to other attorneys, the number of hours is lower. The savings are greatest where there are many documents: an extensive case file, a series of contracts or long correspondence. I only bill the time I actually spent on your matter.
For simple matters, a general AI tool can help you on your own, for instance to understand a contract or write a payment reminder. But it only knows what you tell it, it often cites case law incorrectly and it is not liable for its answer. Once a larger amount, a court dispute or a hard-to-reverse contract is at stake, an attorney who masters AI and verifies its output is worth it.
Yes. In its opinion of 9 September 2026, the Czech Bar Association describes artificial intelligence as a permissible tool in the provision of legal services. The attorney remains responsible for the service, must verify AI output before using it and may enter confidential information only into tools with contractual confidentiality safeguards.
I am. Under Czech law, an attorney is liable to the client for harm caused in connection with the practice of law (Section 24(1) of the Legal Profession Act) and must be insured against it (Section 24a(1)). Using AI does not change that.
The duty of confidentiality (Section 21(1) of the Legal Profession Act) applies to work with AI as well. I use business versions of AI tools whose contractual terms prohibit training models on customer data.
Yes. My office is in Prague 1, Školská street, but I act throughout the Czech Republic. Contracts, corporate matters and consultations can be handled online; I attend court in person, and for distant courts I sometimes use a local substitute attorney to keep your costs down. I provide legal services in Czech and English.
Yes, I run a hands-on workshop for law firms. Details are on the AI training for lawyers page.
Briefly describe your situation and send the documents. I will get back to you and we will agree on the next steps and the price.
